Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) also known as MIT Muzaffarpur, is a premier engineering institution in Bihar. Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology was established in 1954. The institute is located on north-west corner of the Muzaffarpur city along Muzaffarpur - Motihari road. It has approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi. MIT is under the direct administrative control of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar. The institute is affiliated to the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. The institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in several branches of engineering and technology and Bachelo of Pharmacy.
