The Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology (LMCST) was established on 21 July 1965. foundation stone was laid by Shri Mohanlal Sukhadia, the then Chief Minister, Rajasthan on 16 April 1966 and Dr V K R V Rao, the then Minister for Education, India inaugurated this new building on 9 August 1969. We are running in the 40th year of serving the society. During this journey we have achieved various milestones in different fields.
The Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology (LMCST) is included in 2(f) and Section 12(B) in the UGC act and affiliated to Jai Narain Vyas Univesrity, Jodhpur, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for different courses.At present about 2200 students are enrolled in the various course run by the College.
Facilities Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology (LMCST) also provides accommodation for the students who live outside Jodhpur. However, students can always accommodate themselves as Paying Guests (PGs) in any part of the city. Also, houses on rent are easily available. The average expenditure of a student who lives in Jodhpur lies between Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 6,000 per month, depending on the life style of the student.
The Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology (LMCST) is located in the heart of the city and is well connected by various transport facilities like train, bus and taxi. The nearest railway station and airport from the college are Jodhpur Railway Station and Jodhpur Airport, located at a distance of around 10.00 KMs and 15 KMs, respectively. The various tourist places (like Umaid Bhawan Palace and Kaylana Lake) and food joints (like Pizza Hut and Mc Donalds) enable students to refresh themselves taking time out f their hectic schedules.
