Mahakal Institute of Technology and Science was established in 2006. Mahakal Institute of Technology and Science is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishvavidhyalaya Bhopal and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),New Delhi. Mahakal Institute of Technology and Science is located near village Karchha (on Dewas Road) which is 15 km away from the Ujjain Railway Station and 12 km away from Ujjain City and 22 km away from Dewas on the State Highway Ujjain – Bhopal Road and 1.5 km from Ujjain (Datana) Air Strip. One of the major seats of spirituality, tantra and a commercial centre on the erstwhile ‘Silk Route’ from time immemorial Ujjain than known as Ujjain or Awantika has been known for the holy abode of lord Mahakal (the Jyotirlinga) and the place where lord Krishna and his immortal friend Sudama accomplished their learning under the able of guidance of Maharishi Sandipani.
