The Elijah group has drawn up an ambitious plan for higher education and the management school a part of it. The school has, since inception, progressed well on all fronts, with adequate faculty strength and also approvals from state and central authorities. The school, like most other business schools of Kerala, has to make an extra effort to bring industry leadership to the campus, as big industries are absent in the state. However, this gap is vanishing with the recent setting up of IT and knowledge-based companies in the state. The school is well-networked and clued into the existing industry scenario and encourages its students to get first-hand exposure to developments in the industry. The faculty members are encouraged to interact with the industry and come up with training programmes and learning that can be brought to the class room. The school helps in sending the faculty to attend seminars and conferences elsewhere in the country. The school would expand its course offering to teaching subjects in the emerging areas of business to prepare its students to face the highly competitive Indian business environment. The globalization of Indian businesses, the school sees as an important opportunity for a long term fruitful career for its students.
