Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is a premier institute of medical science in India. It is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik and is recognised by the Medical Council of India. Every year AFMC conducts an all-India entrance test to admit 130 students (105 boys & 25 girls) into its MBBS course. After the MBBS degree students have compulsory liability to serve at least 7 year as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The candidates` parents/guardians are required to sign a bond agreement at the time of admission. Students removed from service liability due to any reason will have to pay the bond money as per conditions laid down by Govt. of the India.
