  • Almost 11% seats in Jawaharlal Nehru University remained unfilled and also 31% grant of development of infrastructure remained unutilised. Despite of the fact that there is shortage of seats, 11% seats went vacant. CGA called it a defective admission policy. This resulted in a loss of Rs. 1.39 crore because they did not invest their surplus funds in short term deposits. In contrast, the report said that in three-five years integrated courses, excess students were admitted. There were 46 research projects taken by various departments of the university, out of which only 12 were completed.
