  • Most of the parents across the country find the increase in Kendriya Vidyalayas’ fee by 60% quite substantial. Kendriya Vidyalayas had increased their fee in 2009 the last time. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has recently released a notification informing that very soon some changes in the fee structure will be introduced. However, parents feel comfortable to pay more considering the facilities schools are offering in return.

As says the notification recently issued by the KVS, the computer fund and Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi would be doubled from the next academic year. The changes include an increase in fee from Rs 490/- to Rs 800/- for class 10 students. All the changes for KV students in India will be applicable from the beginning of the month of April. Tuition fee, though, won’t increase.

The officials of the KVS explained that the fee taken is always used to facilitate the students and maintain school campuses. Pallam Raju, the minister for HRD and the chairman of KVS, approved the proposal to increase the fee that was placed before the meeting of the board of governors on December 28, 2012.
