  • Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with Google became the first state in India to have successfully launched web based education program for all the schools in the state. Mr. Nabam Tuki, the Chief Minister global education program inaugurated the launch that initially shall start with fifty schools in the state. In times to come the facility will be introduced to other schools in phases.

He said, “Main inspiration is that it simplifies the teaching process and students can easily understand the process of teaching. Everything will be connected here through the laptop. Books will be there but along with the books, it will be an easier way of teaching and understanding. So students can gain a lot of benefit.”

The government faces the challenge with better infrastructure in form of communication system and schools. The Northeast region is landlocked and the students often face problems due to bandhs and other disturbances. The availability of internet based learning system will enhance the education process and make it easier for students to study at home.
