Jayaprakash A. Gandhi, a well-known consultant and analyst is suggesting students to take up civil engineering as a career as it has promising jobs and growth in coming years. According to him, four branches of engineering are at boom i.e. civil, EEE, computer science and IT. During the counseling, Mr. Gandhi said “What I speak is like reality bites. Don't get carried away by what people say because you have to take a right career decision after completing Plus Two. I can confidently say through my analysis that this year you should go for B.E. (Civil) which will have promising jobs in the year 2015.” He is also saying that civil engineering has better scope than mechanical engineering and going for EEE is also advisable. He also wants to inform parents that college building or location doesn’t really matter, what matters the most is faculty and placements. There are many good civil engineering colleges across the country. All the four branches of engineering suggested by him seem to be very promising in terms of scope, placement and growth.
