CA final exam witnessing rise in success ratio

  • Mumbai: Last two results of CA final exams have witnessed more number of successful candidates as compared to November 2013 results. ICAI announced the November 2014 edition exam results on 19th January 2015.

    The passing rate was 3.11% in November 2013, whereas the March 2014 result the passing rate was 7.29%. November 2014 edition witnessed even higher passing rate with 8.23% that witnessed over thirty six thousand students. Top rank was secured by Vijendra Aggarwal from Gurgaon followed by Pooja Pareek from Ahmedabad stading 2nd.

    Santosh Nankani from Maharashtra was the highest scorer in November 2014 exam results with 69.13%. Santosh ranks 3rd nationally, the same rank is also shared by Nikita Goel from Howrah. Santosh was also a topper from his district in his 12th Boards examination.

    Santosh, hailing from a business family background, said, "I was very focused in my pursuit of chartered accountancy. So I did not seek admission in undergraduate programs post HSC. Graduation is not compulsory for CA and therefore I never thought of enrolling for BCom or any other traditional course."
