Aspirants will not have to apply individually for each engineering institutes. It is also announced that the entire procedure will be held online by National Informatics Center (NIC), for the convenience of the aspirants.
"A joint seat designation methodology will save time for hopefuls and will guarantee there are relatively few opening in premier institutions. Since the procedure does not permit any aspirants to take more than one seat, there is no fear of students blocking seats," characterized an IIT professor.
As valuable as system may appear to be, some have expressed concern in regards to the issuance of class XII result, as CBSE uses it to set up the rank. As to issue, one of the professor said, "All boards to will need to announce results about on time. Issues may emerge if aspirants go in for revaluation and score modification. This methodology requires some serious energy and JEE (Main) ranks will build or lessening on the premise of this. As we are considering various rank frameworks, it may have an effect on the procedure".
Prior, the IITs were hesitant about the joint counseling, as they offered against it to the Delhi high court. Notwithstanding, now they have given green signal to the idea. Yet, they have likewise clarified that the IITs will stick to the pre-determined online choice filling schedule, which will start from June 25th, 2015. Also, various rank will be considered for the admission and aspirants will be permitted to apply in different engineering institutes and courses.
