  • “Major companies look for students, who are willing to acquire knowledge continuously”, said, H Maheshappa, vice-chancellor (VC), Visvesvaraya Technological University. Maheshappa said this to the engineering students of CMR Institute of Technology at the inauguration ceremony of their academic programmes for the year 2011-2012 on Monday.

“Higher education enhances employability while professionals pursuing postgraduate courses must aim at higher goals and work hard to achieve them,” continued Maheshappa.

Other than the VC, Additional Director General of Police, M N Krishnamurthy and K C Ramamurthy, IGP (Retd) also addressed the students at the ceremony. They made students aware of the present placement opportunities in the field of technology.
