Delhi University will offer admissions to applicants in medical and dental courses, MBBS and BDS individually, for session 2015-16. DU MBBS 2015 Admissions might be carried out on the basis of AIPMT 2015 Score. The individuals who want to take admission in medical colleges of Delhi University's Faculty of Medical Sciences are required to appear in the All India Pre Medical Test 2015 (AIPMT- 2015) which would be led on 3 May 2015. DU MBBS 2015 Selection Process
University will not conduct its own entrance examination; admissions would be made on the basis of AIPMT 2015.
Basis of admission would be marks and merit obtained by the candidate in entrance examination, to be conducted by CBSE.
Admissions would be offered for 85% DU quota.
Candidates for 15% seats are picked by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
DU MBBS 2015 Application Form
Candidates have to fill two application forms, first for AIPMT and second for DU. Later would be issued in May 2015. Application form must reach the “Faculty of Medical Sciences, 7th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110007”. Application fee for the form would be Rs.750 for general and OBC candidates, Rs.550 for SC, ST candidates, and free for PWD candidates.
DU MBBS 2015 Courses, Colleges
DU will offer MBBS course in three Medical Colleges i.e. Lady Harding Medical College (LHMC), Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), and University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS). BDS Course would be available at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS). It must be noted that only female candidates are admitted to Lady Harding Medical College (LHMC). Seats may be change in accordance to the status of approval from the University/Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India/Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW). Variation in the seats would be displayed before the counseling begins.
DU MBBS 2015 Duration of Courses
BDS Course: Duration of the course is 4 years, followed by one year compulsory rotating Internship Training.
MBBS Course: Duration of this course is 4½ years, followed by one year compulsory rotating Internship Training.
Tie Breaking in AIPMT Score
If two or more candidates get equal marks in AIPMT, inter-se-ranking of such candidates will be determined as per the following algorithm.
a) Candidates who have obtained higher marks in Biology/Bio-technology in the AIPMT.
b) Candidates who have obtained higher marks in Chemistry in the AIPMT.
c) Candidates who are older in age.
DU MBBS 2015 Merit List
a) Display of list of selected candidates would be uploaded on the official website of faculty of Medical Sciences – www.fmsc.ac.in.
b) Candidates must reach the Faculty of Medical Sciences as per the schedule.
c) Merit list shall be made on the basis of marks of AIPMT.
d) If there is any discrepancy, candidates must reach the authorities within the stipulated time.
DU MBBS 2015 Counselling and Seat Allotment
a) In counseling, candidates would be needed to show admit card, score card of AIPMT and original certificates.
b) Candidates must check the official website of DU and AIPMT for counseling schedule.
c) They must adhere to the date and time of the counseling.
d) Counseling shall be done by the Medical Courses Admission Committee.
e) Venue of counseling would be the “Conference Centre, Opposite Department of Botany, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007”.
