  • The Delhi University (DU) has promoted failed first year aspirants with a pre-condition, as per a recent notice from the varsity.

According to the notification, aspirants who have failed the first year examinations of three-year semester-based undergraduate (UG) courses in the 2014-15 academic session; or those who could not appear for the first year examinations for any reason; or those who did not fill their examination forms have been allowed to move to the second year (III semester) of the respective course in the academic session 2015-16 as regular students.

These aspirants have to clear their I and II semester examinations along with the III and IV semester examinations, respectively.

The aspirants who were not enrolled with the college as regular or ex-aspirants in the 2014-15 academic session will not be covered as per this arrangement, adds the notice.

At present, UG admissions for the 2015-16 academic sessions at DU are in progress under the eighth cutoff list, which was announced by the varsity on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Eligible aspirants have been advised to complete their admission formalities with respective colleges as per the eighth list from Thursday, July 30 to Saturday, August 1, 2015, within the stipulated time. The new academic session for UG courses at DU commenced on Monday, July 20, 2015.
