The new academic session for UG courses at DU commenced on Monday, July 20, 2015. The university has officially confirmed implementation of the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) from the 2015-16 academic sessions, as per a notification dated Sunday, July 19, 2015 regarding the same. The details regarding the courses of study and syllabus have also been uploaded at the varsity website. DU has also constituted a CBCS Oversight Committee (CBCS-OC), in a bid to ensure smooth implementation of CBCS. Moreover, DU has enforced strict measures to curb ragging at the campuses.
The three UG classes of the varsity will be conducted under different course structures. The first year students will study under the CBCS, whereas the second year ones will continue to be under the regular semester system of DU. The third year will follow the now scrapped Four Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP).
