A full time six months entrepreneurship management program namely Post Graduate Program for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM) has been introduced by XLRI School of Business & Human Resource in Jamshedpur. It aims to provide students better knowledge about entrepreneurship.
Fr E Abraham, SJ, director stated that the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) of their institution endeavors to promote entrepreneurship in India & this course will prove to be advantageous for those who want to start their new business.
EDC introduced this specific course in March 2010. The next academic year for this course will begin from July in this year. It aims to impart industry specific knowledge to its students & to increase the capabilities of those who are currently managing their own businesses. This course will put stress on practical application of its knowledge to enrich its students.
The syllabus of it consists of functional areas of business like finance, marketing, strategy, human resource & arena related to entrepreneurial development in India such as family business, women entrepreneurship & social enterprise.
The eligibility criterion for this course is a graduation certificate from a recognized university. Admission procedure involves special interview & also group discussion .The fee for this course is Rs 55,000 including Service Tax & Education Cess. It can be paid in two equal installments. The final date for application is May 30, 2012.
