IIM-Lucknow has chosen to drop the Group Discussion (GD) round from its affirmation arrangement for the scholastic year 2016-18.
The GD has been now expelled from the affirmation process in 11 out of the 13 IIMs, barring the six new ones.
Executive, affirmation, Ashutosh Sinha, said, "It was felt that the staff should be given additional time amid the meeting for better evaluation of the applicant. The time spent in gathering exchange will now be all the more productively used amid the meeting."
As per the IIM-L approach, the individual meeting will represent 40 focuses and the composed capacity test will convey 10 focuses. A year ago, 30 focuses were distributed for individual meeting, and 10 each for composed capacity test and gathering examination.
In 2008, IIM-Ahmedabad split far from custom and supplanted GD with short expositions. In 2010, IIM-Bangalore supplanted GD with exposition composing. In 2011, six IIMs-Rohtak, Raipur, Tiruchirapalli, Ranchi, Kashipur and Udaipur, supplanted it with a composed test.
