The inaugural Business Professor of the Year Award launched by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has been bagged by Indian business professor working in Singapore. Vijay Sethi, professor of information technology and operations management, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, is an Indian born in New Delhi.
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), supported by Hult International Business School, recognized him as the world's best business professor. For this, he has been given 100,000 US dollars. In the race of best business professor there were 222 professors from 31 countries, voted by around thirty thousand students and alumni.
In the process of selection, a panel of renowned judges shortlisted only four professors for the live teach-off event on a choice-based business topic. Since the award is given in the form of reward for inspiring business students, professor Vijay, the winner of the title, feels honored. For him, this award is true recognition of the hard work he’s been putting for decades.
