The counseling for 807 seats in nine medical college of the state will begin from June 29, as per Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) sources. Taking all things together, there are 950 seats yet 15% seats in every college are saved for All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) candidates directed by CBSE. These seats won't be numberd amid directing.
The Supreme Court has withheld the AIPMT comes about and coordinated CBSE to conduct the test over again.
The general 950 seats incorporate 150 in PMCH and 100 every in Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Krishna Medical College and Hosptial (Muzaffarpur), Anurgrah Narayan Magadh Medical College (Gaya), Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital, Government Medical College (Bettiah), Pawapuri Medical College (Nalanda) and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (Bhagalpur). Like a year ago, this year too it is being expected that around 75 held seats out of 125 may go empty as the SC/ST hopefuls have not scored the qualifying mark for the confirmation. The base qualifying mark for the saved seats is 40. The BCECEB has kept in touch with the health department to accept an approach this.
