MoU signed between University of Mysore and Hokkaido University, Japan

  • Mysuru: University of Mysore and Japan based Hokkaido University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for exchange program of not only students but the program will also allow faculty and research fellows along with academic materials and publications.  The MoU was signed on 29th January 2015 and the pact is valid for five year as of now.

    University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Mr. K. S. Rangappa and president of the Hokkaido University Keizo Yamaguchi signed the MoU. Mr. Rangappa said some 25 students from the varsity are pursuing their doctoral and post-doctoral studies at the Japan. "I have association with this university too since ten years. We are formalizing the association to work more in the field of research," the VC stated.

    Mr. Yamaguchi thanked the University of Mysore for the collaboration, which, he said, will foster academic partnerships in the area of life sciences. Students from Mysuru are pursuing research at his university since 2010.
