More than 1.03 lakh seats are still vacant for offline admission process after the online admission process got over in junior colleges in Mumbai.
Colleges have started giving away the forms to students after receiving order from the authorities. On Wednesday, the education department organized a meeting with guidance centre in-charges where they were informed about guiding the students about vacant seats in various colleges by looking at their scores and preferences. The centres will have the details of seats available and cut-off lists for various colleges. A deputy director of school education official said, “Most seats are available in Arts stream followed by Commerce.”
According to T A Shiware, principal of Hinduja College, “students with even 90% scores are applying for the offline process as the online admission closed at 79%. We have been told to admit students with scores higher than the last cut-off.”
