More than 3.38 lakh students are appearing for the Maharashtra Health Sciences and Engineering Entrance Exam on May 10. It is a single common entrance to get admission in health science engineering and pharmacy courses. Around 3905 seats are available in 60 health science colleges, 9440 seats in 148 pharmacy colleges and 134024 seats in 348 engineering colleges. The exam will be held in 35 districts in 867 schools and junior colleges. The exam timings are from 10 am to 4:30 pm. First 90 minutes are for physics and chemistry, next 90 minutes for biology, then 90 minutes break and then the last 90 minutes for mathematics. Those candidates who want to go for health science courses will give physics, chemistry and biology paper and those who want to take admission in engineering will give physics, chemistry and mathematics papers.
