The National Eligibility Entrance Test- Post Graduate (NEET-PG) results were declared on Thursday. The exams were conducted in December.
Shivam Jani, an MBBS graduate from BJ Medical College, was one of the lucky few who were able to check their results online before the site crashed and remained inaccessible for hours after the news of the results spread around 5 pm. Jani has ranked 42 in Gujarat and 682 in the country.
Shakeel Ahmad was a doctor who was not able to access the much-anticipated NEET PG result, which were withheld for over four months as the test was challenged in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the Gujarat University is yet to decide whether the admissions to 450 post graduate seats in Gujarat would be given on the basis of only NEET scores or the marks scored in MBBS. A meeting to take a final decision will be held on Friday.
Students, however, met the senior officials in GU and asked them to consider only NEET scores.
