  • The Indian Forest Service exam conducted by UPSC will be similar to the pattern of CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION. The civil service (prelims) exams shall be served as screening test for both civil services as well as the Indian forest service. However, there will not be any change in eligibility criteria for the candidate’s appearing for IFS this year.

The application form “combined online application form for civil services and Indian Forest Service” has to fill by candidate’s choosing from Civil Service, Indian Forest Service or both as per eligibility of the candidates.

The candidates, who will quality the preliminary exam, will be shortlisted separately to appear for Indian Forest Service (mains) and civil services (mains).

The Indian Forest Service (mains) and civil services (mains) examination then would be conducted on different dates in order to accommodate candidates who will be short listed for both the services. The interview will also be held and will be notified separately.
