  • The Gujarat University has chosen to expand the last date for filling application form for the two year Bachelor of Education courses till May 20th, 2015. Prior the last date for filling up application form was May 15th, 2015.

The choice was taken after the college understood that it has got just 1700 application forms against the limit of 5000 seats. Sources in the Gujarat University said that the online procedure to enlist for the confirmation which started on May 8 finished on May 15, yet the authorities found that there was just 1700 application form which was gotten after which more than 2300 seats were staying vacant.

According to the GU protocols, of 5000 seats, around 4000 seats were to be filled with hopefuls who had cleared their examination before March 2015, while the remaining 1000 eventual fresher applicants.

Then the applicants of the socially and educationally backward category looking for admission to the Bachelor of Education, made representation to the Gujarat University authorities after the powers declined to give five percent relaxation to the hopefuls from SEBC category.

Authorities said that as indicated by the GU officials for the admission to the Bachelor of Education, the cut off criteria for the hopefuls from the SEBC category was 45 per cent marks, while the same this year was settled at 50 per cent this year. The choice has angered a few hopefuls from the SEBC classification.

The hopefuls guaranteed that in all the admissions an unwinding of five per cent was given, however the Gujarat University which started the admission for the two year Bachelor of Education course has evacuated all the reservations and has chosen to treat SEBC candidates at standard with the open category students.
