Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) committee published the final list of engineering seat allotment on Wednesday. About 18,500 candidates have been allotted seats in different engineering colleges of the state, leaving behind over 26,500 vacant seats.
"The final list will be published online on the OJEE website later on Wednesday evening. Candidates have to download the allotment letters from the website and report at the respective colleges between July 18 and 20. A reporting schedule will be published in the website and newspapers on Thursday," said Priyabrata Sahu, secretary, OJEE.
OJEE published a provisional allotment list on July 10 and gave a chance to students to withdraw from July 11 and July 13. "Nearly 1,000 students withdrew their choice of colleges and as a result the remaining candidates were upgraded automatically in the allotment list," an OJEE official said.
OJEE authorities are planning to hold a second round of counseling to fill up the seats. A total of 62,157 candidates qualified OJEE for admissions to 45,476 engineering seats in 92 colleges in the state.
