Online Registration for BITSAT 2011 Begins

  • BITSAT 2011, a computer based online test, for admissions to integrated first degree programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and
    Hyderabad will be conducted between 11th May-10th June 2011.BITSAT 2011 is a 3 hour test, offered to candiadates on computers at dedicated
    centers in different cities of India and at the Dubai Campus. The test will have objective type(Multiple Choices) questions only. The syllabus and other
    details of the test are available in the BITSAT-2011 brochure,which will be available from the Official website.

    Last date to apply BITSAT 2011 is 31st January 2011. Hall tickets will be available to download from 15th April – 30th April 2011.

    Interested candidates should register their names for BITSAT-2011 by applying in the prescribed application form online. Complete
    the application form online at and take the print out of the filled form. The completed application form
    alongwith the prescribed fees of Rs.1500/- (Rs.1000/- for female candidates) should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani- 333 031.

    BITSAT- 2011 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:
    Part I : Physics
    Part II : Chemistry
    Part III : (i) English Proficiency and (ii) Logical Reasoning
    Part IV: Mathematics

    Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2011 Examination

    The minimum eligibility requirement for BITSAT 2011 - 12th with at least 80% marks in aggregate in PCM subjects.

    Candidate should have to score a minimum of 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
    Candidates who have passed 12th in 2010 or appearing for 12th in 2011 are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2011.

    Pattern BITSAT 2011 Examination:

    BITSAT is an online test and the duration of BITSAT 2011 is 3 hours. There will be 150 objective type questions with four options for answers.

    Correct answer will score 3 marks and incorrect answer will deduct 1 mark.

    150 questions are distributed as follows:

    English Proficiency-15
    Logical Reasoning-10

    If any candidate is able to complete all 150 questions before 3 hours he has an option to go for 12 extra questions subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
    The syllabus of BITSAT 2011 Exam is similar to NCERT 11th and 12th syllabus.
