  • In a meeting of board of examination (BoE) held on June 8, Mumbai University has taken decision to arrange re-examinations of first year engineering students on June 14, 16 & 18.  The reason is that the crime branch of Mumbai Police confirmed the report about leakage of question papers earlier in the week.  The papers on which students have to reappear for test are applied mathematics II & applied physics II. Test on both of these papers will be arranged for first year second semester students. Test on papers like basic electrical & electronics engineering will also be conducted for the second time on the above mentioned dates.

The university has adopted a five point action plan after the police investigation revealed ambiguities in the examination section. Pro-vice chancellor (PVC) Naresh Chandra stated that the university authority has suspended four teachers involved in this matter. They will be given show cause notice also. This university has expressed its apology in its official website for conducting re-examination for more than 21,000 students.
