With a purpose of inspiring MBA students to take entrepreneurship to the remote & undeveloped area of Karnataka state, the R.V. Institute of Management will take initiative to arrange Prerna Sindhu 2012, a rural entrepreneurship competition on May 4.
Jyotirmoy Ghosh, assistant professor of the college informed that, this competition will bring together around 150 students & rural entrepreneurs who will present business models for the assistance of agriculture & rural industries. “For example, those who make toys in Channapatna currently cannot sustain themselves because their products are not marketed properly. If these entrepreneurs can find the right channels, then we may be able to market the toys even in supermarkets,” he said.
In order to provide students right direction & to carry on this project effectively, rural entrepreneurs will guide the participants.
Prerana Sindhu 2012 will also arrange a workshop on May 4 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the college campus in Jayanagar 4th T Block.
The participants also will be able to catch a glimpse of folk dances & plays.
