  • With the support of Srinivasa Ramanujam Research Forum (SRRF) in GIET, CIET and other colleges under Chaitanya Educational Institutions, some of the research scholars have come forward to help the poor and people in need.

Recently, a team of scholars including Prof. V. V. Krishna, Principal of Chaitanya Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET) and Dr. V. Anantha Lakshmi, Head of English, Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) visited Devaradigudem, Ramannapalem and Dirisinapalli of Gokavaram mandal and helped the poor children by providing them note-books, steel plates, pencils, pens and other reading and writing material. All the stuff was distributed among primary and upper primary school children. The research scholars also went to a high school and distributed notebooks to the students. Also, they assured that the students who get mid-day meals will be provided plates and glasses soon.

Not only this, the team also assured the school to provide school uniforms to the students on their next visit when one of the students requested them to buy the same.

This forum, run by the scholars, is now two years old and is led by Dr. V. Vijayakumar, Dean, computer and electronics. Before this also, the forum had taken up many activities for the benefit of school-going children in villages near Rajahmundry.
