The second round of Victoria India Doctoral Scholarships (VIDS) for Indian PhD scholars has been introduced by the Victorian Government in association with Victoria India Doctoral Scholarships (VIDS). The scholars who want to pursue their studies in any one of these nine Victorian universities like Deakin University, La Trobe University, Monash University, RMIT University, Swinburne University, Australia Catholic University, The University of Melbourne, University of Ballarat and Victoria University, will receive this scholarship. These universities have joint research links with Indian educational institutions as well as industries. As its result the scholars will attain practical knowledge in their relevant fields.
The amount of each scholarship will be AUS$90,000 which will be provided for three years. It means the amount is equivalent to Rs 90 lakh per student. Aspirants will get the opportunity to select their preferred courses on diabetes prevention, investor protection regulation in the financial services industry, novel means of drug delivery, optical broadband technologies and treatment of livestock diseases.
Matters like academic excellence of candidates, his or her submission of a well defined research proposal for which both the Indian & Victorian communities will be benefited mutually & candidate’s outstanding leadership quality will be judged during selection process.
