Second Annual Convocation of the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM-R) was held here on Saturday at its campus. The passed out graduates of the institute were awarded diplomas on the occasion. In total, 122 students of the second batch of two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management were honored.
The convocation was addressed by Mr. Ravi Kant, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Rohtak and vice-chairman of Tata Motors. Ravi called IIM-R as a rapidly growing management institute capable of securing top places among best ones. He pronounced India as a remarkably noticed economy and asked freshly passed out young aspirants to take on risks involved in entrepreneurial opportunities in the beginning of their careers.
The convocation report was released by Professor P Rameshan, director, IIM-R. He told that the institute has launched a doctoral programme and management development programmes as well. The young and fresh managers were motivated by Mr. Anil Agarwal, founder and executive chairman, Vedanta Group who the chief guest on the occasion. He appealed them to be passionate and confidence enough to be able to empower others and back up the society.
