The CBSE class XII results declared on Monday morning has brought cheers for the hill town as students of most schools affiliated to CBSE including St Edward, Loreto Convent, Tara Hall, Dayanand Public School, KV Jakhu hills, DAV Lakkar Bazar, besides others, managed good scores.
Anubhav Sharma, a class XII student of St Edward School, scripted history for the institute as he managed to score 100% in chemistry, with an overall score of 93% in the non-medical stream.
In a jubilant mood over the achievement, Anubhav shared his experience with TOI, "I never managed good scores in the school in chemistry. But it has been the persistent hard work and guidance from teachers in school and notes given by them which helped me score cent percent marks in the subject." Sharma, who is keen on pursuing a career in Army, said school authorities and parents have expressed joy over his feat.
Mayank Plaha of the science stream topped In St Edward with 96% aggregate, while Ekkagra Singh stood second with 94.6% with Anubhav Sharma standing overall third with 93.6% score. Agastaya Bhoosan topped the commerce stream with 92%, followed by Dhruv Khanna with 91.6 % and Devansh Mohan scoring third position with 91.2%.
Avijit Gupta of Dayanand Public School (DPS) managed to score 100% in mathematics, but it were the girls who dominated the science stream as Dikshita Vashishth topped with 96.2%, followed by Kiran Dogra scoring 95.6% and Yogita Kanwar managing 95.2%. Keeping the scores high in humanities stream, girls of DAV Lakkar Bazaar managed to take the lead with Komal Sharma topping the list with 94.6%, followed by Anju Sharma with 94% and Apoorva scoring 93.8%.
