NTSE, a national level scholarship program re-declared the result on 4th January, 2013. The reputed exam to recognize meritorious students is being conducted by NCERT and close to 1,50,000 students from class VIII to X appear in the examination.
First stage NTSE state level exam was conducted by NCERT in the month of November, 2011. The eligible candidates then appeared in the second level NTSE- 2012 in the month of May, 2012. It was in June, 2012 when NCERT published official answer key and made it open for feedback and suggestions from experts and public. The final answer key after the feedback consideration along with the results were declared in August, 2012.
When the successful students who featured in the declared list were waiting for their certificates and scholarship, another answer key and the fresh successful students list were declared by NCERT on 4th January, 2013. In the fresh list the names of 40 students whose name appeared in the first list went missing. Important fact is that the new result declared did not contain the detail marks scored in MAT and SAT sections. Students are alleging the fresh declaration illegal and against the policy of Council. Media coordinator Mr. Hemant Kumar has said that the NCERT has received the representation in this matter and are looking into the same.
The question that AdmissionJankari.com wants to ask from the NCERT council: "How can the council or what are the council plans to handle the stressed out 40 students and their parents? Who is answerable to the blunder committed from the council either in August, 2012 when the first list was declared or the second list declared in January, 2013?"
