HR, Finance and Marketing students benefited at Mega Placements – 2011 on Day 4
Association of Management Professionals (AMP) on day 04 invited major Finance and HR companies for the students of MBA and PGDM. Mr. Kamal Singh, Director AIMA was the Chief Guest of the day. He addressed the audience and said:
“One must try to become a good manager. There are certain qualities which one must imbibe upon.”
While emphasizing it he stated that as per AIMA Survey-2002: 70 million young professional with current young talent, India will be a super power by 2020. He expressed hope that some of future big companies would be led by Indians. He quoted the example of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and said that he needs no introduction. M S Dhoni, who hails from a average background has scaled height. Mr. Kamal Singh called upon the young generation to create a passion for achieving a dream. He said that in the present era there is great demand for young and innovative brains. While discussing about it he said that the innovation done by Kevin Care in packaging of shampoo in small sachet was later on following by other FMCG giants.
He outlined the importance of entrepreneurship in India. In this context he stressed upon the following attributes as seen in present era managers
3- Value for money
4- Power of Communication.
5- Ethics / values
He said that we, the Indians should not compromise with honesty at any point in whatever circumstances. Dr. D B Singh welcomed Mr. Kamal Singh the chief guest of the day. Dr. D B Singh, the Director of Taksila Business School informed the students till now 80 selections and 90 short listing have been done. Today ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential visited the campus for recruitment. There was great rush of interviewees for ICICI Bank and India Infoline at their respective centres. Dr. P K Singhal the Chairman of the Taksila Business School stressed on the need of employability and called upon the students to take the best advantage of such placement fairs. He announced that very shortly TBS shall be holding a National Level event on the campus. In the end Dr. D B Singh offered vote of thanks to all. He felt the satisfaction over the progress made so far in the context of Mega Placements – 2011.
