A National Industrial Relations Conference is being organized by XLRI School of Business and Human Resources, Jamshedpur at XLRI campus on January 14 and 15, 2012.
The theme of the conference is Revival of Industrial Relations in India Myth and Realities. The theme is selected with a view of resolving some of the burning issues facing the manufacturing and industrial relations ecosystem in India. The conference has been organized for Industrial Relations at XLRI (FIRE@X) which is partnered by the Indian Industrial Relations Association (IIRA) and FES India.
The conference will comprise of some of the panel discussions, speaker sessions and paper presentations by students from the MBA colleges of the country. The panel discussion will be undertaken by a bunch of prestigious people like industry stalwarts, acclaimed judges, renowned academicians and eminent trade union leaders. The panel discussion will aim at the political, legal, social and economic dimensions of the issue.
The speakers session will again be addressed by some of the eminent people like NS Iyer, GM- HR at Asian Paints Ltd, Ranendra Goswami, head HR administration at Apollo Health Lifestyle Ltd, GD Nadaf, general secretary, SBI officer's federation, JSR Prasad, director, UNIDOC, P Somaraju and deputy labour commissioner.
This theme has been selected as these days there is a growing importance of industrial relations consequent to government legislations, growing union collectivism amidst growth of manufacturing sector in India.
