What Experts Have to Say About JEE Main Cut Off?

The exam which was conducted on this April 2, 2017 was seemed to be of little bit difficult, despite of having the complicated mathematics portion.

“The physics and chemistry sections of the JEE mains were comparatively more simple than those of the previous years,” says Venkat Ramana, JEE exam head of TIME Hyderabad. According to him, this might be one of the most important reasons of coming up a slightly higher cut-off when it comes to comparing to the one released in the last year.

The number of cut-off might be 100 or higher this year according to the Aakash Institute. Experts also say that the higher cut-off might also be a result of the increment in the number of candidates appeared for the examination. This year more than 20,000 candidates appeared for the exam as compared to the JEE Main 2016 Exam.

“The higher cut-off would balance out the number of candidates who manage to clear it. The cut off for the reserved categories will be more or less similar to last year,” says Ramana.

Candidates would be able to check the Answer Keys for JEE Main 2017 from April 18-22. This year has witnessed a whopping number of 10 lakh students who participated the exam.
